What is your relationship to the internship program? Why have you chosen to connect with this program?

As Head of People at Trumid, I am responsible for our overall talent strategy, attracting best-in-class talent whose knowledge complements and extends Trumid’s expertise in electronic corporate bond trading. Trumid is a financial technology firm but, at its heart, is a unique team of technology, product and credit experts. My role involves overseeing recruitment, employee development and our distinct remote-based culture. I am especially proud of our unique internship program, as it represents one of our most exciting opportunities for connecting with young and emerging talent. It’s important to us at Trumid to ensure a challenging and fast-paced environment, where individuals can grow and develop their careers while making an impact.

“It’s important to us at Trumid to ensure a challenging and fast-paced environment, where individuals can grow and develop their careers while making an impact.”

Through a combination of on-the-job learning and growth opportunities, Trumid interns support both their immediate teams and the organization at large. Leading our HR function allows me to focus on both long-term team development and ensuring that we build and nurture a pipeline of skilled and motivated young professionals, also bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.

What makes this program stand out?

Trumid’s nine-week summer internship program offers rising juniors invaluable work experience, whether in-person or remote. We’ve designed a comprehensive and well-rounded program, equipping interns with practical skills and exposure across the business. We also offer additional support through ongoing mentorship and opportunities for professional development (including lunch and learns and roundtable discussions, hosted both internally and externally). This enhances the Trumid internship experience and contributes to the long-term success of participants as they embark on their careers.

Our program has led to several summer interns successfully returning to full-time positions after graduation. This continuity speaks to the value we place on growing talent from within and providing lasting and engaging opportunities beyond the program.
