What will you do in this role?

Trumid is looking for a hands-on Support Engineering Lead to join our Technology Team. This person will lead the groups responsible for internal and external clients, desktop, and trading platform support. We are looking for someone with a development background, experience with automation and monitoring, and an understanding of the support structure model. As a Support Lead supporting the trading system and external clients, you will be required to provide in-person support at the office (located in midtown NYC) for internal clients and the data center (located in NJ).  

  • Manage and lead client, desktop, and trading platform support teams (6-8 people)
  • Using an as-code mentality, develop automation, monitoring, and deployment tools
  • Using Terraform, implement and update existing infrastructure and monitoring 
  • Partner with development teams to improve support models and processes with a focus on scalability and automation
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and support, solve problems and deliver solutions quickly and effectively 
  • Continuously evolve our incident management process and drive incidents to resolution
  • Organize all releases and changes for the trading platform using our Release/Change Management process
  • Ensure the health of the trading platform while conducting proactive monitoring and checks on the trading platform, client connections, and office infrastructure
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance of the trading platform, office location, and co-location
  • Responsible for supporting the office, co-location, all staff on-prem and remote, clients, vendor, and client connectivity

Skills & Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience managing / leading support and support engineering teams 
  • Experience supporting trading platforms
  • Experience with AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure, and Desktop Support for both Windows and Linux OS users
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus / Grafana, Windows System Administration
  • Experience with Python, bash or shell scripting and Terraform 
  • Proven ability to enhance monitoring tools using as-code mentality 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, multitask and meet required deadlines in a fast-paced environment
